Mission
Our Mission: The Men’s Center helps men recover from alcoholism and drug dependency in order to achieve productive lives.
The Men’s Center strongly believes that substance addiction is a largely misunderstood major public health problem. We believe, however, that there is a solution to substance abuse.
People suffering from addiction often lose their jobs, become estranged from their family and frequently become homeless. Individuals learning how to overcome their substance abuse and the problems it creates need a stable and sober living environment such as the one The Men’s Center provides.
- The Men’s Center provides non-medical detoxification and rehabilitation for men. Many have gone through treatment before.
- The Men’s Center offers a transitional safe and clean environment in which to begin the healing process. Usually a life ravaged by drug/alcohol addiction requires more time to heal than provided in typical rehabilitation settings. We give those who come through the doors the time they need to recover and return to society as active members.
- Each resident must achieve and maintain sobriety and attend AA, NA or CA meetings. Six daily 12-Step meetings are offered on the premises.
Accountability is necessary to encourage change. Each resident must maintain a clean and orderly living space, seek and obtain employment, submit to random drug tests, and pay a modest amount of rent.
Once addicts learn how to overcome substance abuse, they can return to their rightful position as respected and contributing members of society.
